Since inception, ACFODE has been advocating for gender equality though a number of interventions including challenging social and gender norms that perpetuate gender inequalities including GBV, Violence against women and girls, leadership development, economic empowerment of women and advocacy for gender responsive laws and policies. Like other WROs, ACFODE is experiencing reduced funding due to a number of challenges including changing donor priorities, epidemics, wars, shrinking civic space and gender backlash, hence need for strategic and innovative ways to mobilise resources such as social enterprises among others.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Description the volunteer mandate<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"90\" data-end=\"412\"><strong data-start=\"90\" data-end=\"100\">ACFODE<\/strong> implements a variety of interventions that require timely and effective information sharing with a broad range of stakeholders. As such, there is a pressing need to <strong data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"342\">rebrand the organisation as Uganda\u2019s leading women\u2019s rights organisation<\/strong> to better reflect current demands and the evolving operating context.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"992\">The year <strong data-start=\"423\" data-end=\"461\">2025 marks a significant milestone<\/strong> in ACFODE\u2019s journey of promoting Gender Equality and Women\u2019s Empowerment (GEWE), as it celebrates its <strong data-start=\"564\" data-end=\"584\">40th anniversary<\/strong>. Over the past four decades, ACFODE has made substantial contributions to advancing women&rsquo;s rights, and these achievements must now be <strong data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"811\">strategically packaged for different audiences at national, regional, and global levels<\/strong>. There is a growing need to <strong data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"899\">enhance the organisation\u2019s visibility and marketability<\/strong> in order to attract new partners and broaden its influence both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1332\">To support these efforts, ACFODE is seeking a <strong data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1066\">Communications Advisor<\/strong> who is agile, experienced with online communication strategies and tools, and passionate about gender equality and women\u2019s rights.
