Crossroads International will engage Canadians, Canadian stakeholders, Crossroads staff and volunteers, local partner organizations and women and men in sub-Saharan Africa to become Gender Equality Champions both in Canada and overseas.
The Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) aims to reduce gender inequalities and alleviate poverty by addressing gender-based violence, inequalities in access to resources and economic opportunities, and barriers in exercising strategic forms of choice, voice, and influence.
Description the volunteer mandate
As a social justice organization addressing critical issues such as poverty, gender inequality, and climate change, Action Aid Ghana (AAG) relies on diverse funding streams to sustain its impactful programs. The volunteer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to identify funding opportunities, develop competitive grant proposals, and explore innovative resource mobilization strategies. Their support will enhance AAG’s ability to engage potential donors, build partnerships, and expand its funding portfolio to sustain and scale its interventions across Ghana.
Additionally, the volunteer will assist in crafting high-quality donor materials, such as project reports, impact stories, and presentations, ensuring alignment with donor expectations and strengthening relationships with existing and potential supporters. Their fresh perspectives and expertise will bring value to the team, particularly in navigating the competitive donor landscape. By supporting the fundraising team, the volunteer will contribute to ActionAid Ghana’s financial sustainability, enabling the organization to amplify its efforts in advocating for marginalized communities.
